Congregational Care · El Rebaño
Make sure care has an owner, a next step, and the right level of privacy.
El Rebaño helps churches manage active ministry situations, from prayer requests and hospital visits to family crises and ongoing care, with clear responsibility and next steps.
What it does
Urgent needs alert the pastor and coordinator right away.
Anything overdue is raised to a leader during the day, never at night.
Step-by-step care plans for moments like a hospital stay.
Reminders for hard anniversaries, like a death or a surgery.
Visits on a calendar.
Private notes only their writer can read.
“Pastoral Only” care that even a Church Admin cannot see.
Meal sign-ups: helpers never see the care need, and get the family’s address only after the coordinator approves them.
Clear ownership
Make it clear who is responsible for each active care situation, from prayer requests and hospital visits to family crises and ongoing care.
Next steps, context & privacy
Keep follow-up dates and next actions visible, connect care to the people and households involved, and limit sensitive information to where responsibility requires it.
Accountable history
Preserve what happened so teams can understand the care already provided and what still needs attention. When a need comes in through a connect card or prayer request, it goes to the right person instead of disappearing into an inbox or group text.
Who uses it
Caregivers
See the needs assigned to them and log each call or visit.
Coordinators
Assign needs, run meal sign-ups and keep follow-up moving.
Pastors
See every need, including Pastoral Only care, and are told when something is urgent or overdue.
Church Admins
Set up people and access. They do not see Pastoral Only care unless they are also a pastor.
